Foundation Activity Framework
The Foundation is a scientific and research institution whose activities and practices are organized according to scholarly standards.
The Hazara Encyclopaedia Foundation is an independent, non-profit research institution founded in Kabul in 1391 SH through consultation with a group of university professors and researchers. The central purpose of establishing the Foundation is compiling the Hazara Encyclopaedia. The Hazara Encyclopaedia Foundation is registered in the United Kingdom, and its administrative and scholarly staff, including members of the Scientific Council, experts, and authors, are present in different countries around the world.

The Foundation avoids religious, ethnic, and regional bias.
Gender equality, respect for human values, and human rights are observed across all organizational affairs and practical activities.
The Foundation's bodies are: A. Founders' Board; B. Board of Directors / Supreme Administrative Council; C. Board of Trustees; D. Scientific Council.
The activities of each of the Foundation's four bodies are regulated through separate procedures.
This body includes the people who played a role in founding, forming, and organizing the institution. The most important duty of the Founders' Board is drafting and setting the broad policies of the Hazara Encyclopaedia Foundation.
The Board of Directors is the Foundation's executive body. It is formed to administer and organize the Foundation's affairs and activities, and its members are selected by the Founders' Board. Its most important duty is planning and preparing executive, research, economic, and cultural programs in coordination with the Founders' Board.
The following two sections also operate under the Supreme Administrative Council:
This committee is responsible for all financial affairs of the encyclopaedia, including charitable contributions, sales of encyclopaedia volumes, and targeted support. It prepares monthly and quarterly financial reports, including all encyclopaedia expenses such as staff salaries and honoraria for authors and field researchers, and sends them to the Board of Trustees for review.
This committee was created to share information about the encyclopaedia through its website, social media channels, and the media.
To ensure the integrity and financial transparency of the Foundation's activities and to draw on the community's maximum capacity, the Board of Trustees of the Hazara Encyclopaedia Foundation is formed from reputable people active in social, scholarly, economic, and civic fields.
The Scientific Council is part of the encyclopaedia's scholarly organization. The Foundation's Scientific Council manages, plans, and supervises the encyclopaedia's scientific and research activities.
The Hazara Encyclopaedia Foundation is established in Kabul in 2012 as an independent research institution.
Compilation and writing of the first volume begin in early 2015.
The first volume of the Hazara Encyclopaedia is published in winter 2018.
After expert feedback and two years of revision, the expanded second edition of Volume One is published in winter 2020 with additional material.
The Hazarapaedia application gives readers access to all articles from the second edition of the first volume of the Hazara Encyclopaedia and will publish the latest information gathered for each entry. Articles are arranged both alphabetically and by subject, are searchable within the application, and later volumes will be added gradually and continuously. By joining Hazarapaedia, readers can access reliable, comprehensive, and non-judgmental information across different fields of Hazara society.
